10 beliefs for a better life: #5 Always be kind.

What’s your purpose? Many people drift through life, with no sense of purpose, direction or true joy. They ignore the fact that they aren’t happy and never address the mindset and choices that led to that unhappiness. Most people have limiting beliefs and so their life is limited. They believe life is hard, and so it is. They believe life is a challenge, and challenges seem to pile one atop another. They believe either consciously or unconsciously that their best days are behind them. They believe fitting in and being who they are expected to be will get them a better or easier life than being their true self and following their true passion. Their happiness is dependent on what others thinks and what happens. They are not in control of life; life is in control of them.

Over the next 10 days, we will be sharing one of 10 empowering beliefs about life and this is Day #5! These are beliefs that will open the door for life to work with you and for you. Once these beliefs become part of who you are, your entire life will change. Guaranteed.

#5 Always be kind.

Some people believe that kindness is equal to weakness. They believe that kind people get walked over. They’re quick to bring up examples where they gave someone their heart and soul only to get trampled on. They adopt the belief that the same thing will happen every time they are kind.

If someone tripped you when you were walking, you wouldn’t let that person stop you from walking would you? It’s not the walking that made you trip. It was the unkind person. It’s true, sometimes in life people will treat you badly. But they’re the minority.

Be kind because that’s who you are, not because you want something out of it like a transaction. Who do you think kind people are attracted to? Other kind people or those who refuse to be kind because they were hurt by someone else long ago? Who do you think amazing people like to be around? Those who are kind and genuine or those who are closed off?

Do good by others. Treat others how you want to be treated. Not because you want something from them but because you know the world is a little bit better every time someone like you does good. No matter how small, be kind.
